The Giant Plastic Tap is a series of art installations that have been created all around the world using local waste resources and communities.

It is most known for its appearance at the United Nations Headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya where it greeted 1,500 delegates from 193 different countries during the Global Plastic Treaty negotiations.

This giant levitating faucet has since become a symbol for what is now being called the “Paris Agreement for Plastics” and continues to be recreated all around the world.

Activating Community

Every Giant Plastic Tap is an opportunity for us to engage a host of schools, local non-profits, and communities. The faucet draws press to local communities and their challenges, giving all the opportunity to have their challenges heard.

On Display at the UN

The Giant Plastic Tap at the United Nations was created with the help of the Human Needs Project and A Web 3.0 community called the Degenerate Trash Pandas. It provided 100 jobs to local women and utilized over 1 ton of plastics scavenged from the slums of Kibera.

Additionally, the community helped raise $100,000 to create permanent jobs for the Human Needs Project.
